AIIP: Italian Association of Internet Providers
AIIP assiciation was founded in June 1995 an became operative in the autumn of the same year.
At present it counts 44 telecommunications operators partners with a turnover of about 1.9 billions euros and have invested over 1.3 billion euros in the past 5 years.
Main objectives:
- Definition and diffusion of quality standard and behaviour rules for Internet operators.
- Promotion of the Internet as a productivity and efficient tool for the companies as for the private user
- Coordination of common research initiatives among the associated companies about technological and business market.
- Contacts with international organizations with similar purposes.
